Recap of Exclusive AMA: Crypto Miners x StealthEX
On July 13, 2022, we had StealthEX & Crypto Miners AMA session in Telegram, and here is a recap. Just take a little time to read through.
Q1: Ramsy, Crypto Miners: Could you give us a brief explanation of StealthEX? What did you have in mind when creating such a platform in this space?
Maria Carola, CMO StealthEX: StealthEX is an instant exchange platform made for easy cryptocurrency swaps. You don’t have to register or create an account to exchange with us. We’ve been around since 2018 and had quite some time to develop. StealthEX now has over 450 crypto assets available for swaps, an option to buy crypto with fiat, an open API for other projects and a referral program. Our team is always thinking about the ways to bring more features to the project, so more cool things will follow. Will tell about then a little later.
StealthEX was created with quite a simple idea in mind — cryptocurrency swaps should be simple and confidential. Many crypto services made a turn towards custodial model at the time StealthEX was created, and this was something the team was not agreeing with. We believe in self-storage (so you are the only person holding your assets, no exchange wallets or other services involved), and in easily manageable cryptocurrency usage.
Q2: What are your main features and advantages that discern you from other projects?
StealthEX has quite some features that differentiate us from other exchanges. Let’s go through the main varieties.
If you compare us to custodial exchanges like Binance, StealthEX grants you more freedom and assurance. You do not have to think about jurisdictions, pass mandatory KYC, or create an account at all. Besides, as we take liquidity from several providers, there are more coin options to choose from. The main point, however, is that you do not have to trust anybody to hold your money for you and nothing can happen to your funds. All the swaps are made wallet-to-wallet, so they do not leave self-custody of a taken user.
Second tier — comparing StealthEX to DEXs. When I started working in crypto, DEXs were not popular. Now, there are hundreds of services utilizing smart contracts to perform exchanges. The whole system of peer-to-peer trading and liquidity pools is cool, but there are some drawbacks — for instance, proper maintenance. StealthEX uses an older technology of automated swaps, and there are no smart contracts involved in the process, which makes the system more resistant and reliable. Besides, using DEXs is just more complicated UX-wise.
Last but not least — comparing StealthEX with our direct competitors (other instant exchange services). There are several things to mention.
- We have more assets available than the majority of service alike (including pretty rare ones).
- KYC is a very rare thing to happen.
- The interface itself is fairly simple.
- The service works rapidly, all the swaps are performed almost at instant.
- Our support line works impeccably.
Q3: Has the experience and background of your team been effective in the success of your project so far?
We come from different backgrounds — some people have worked with crypto before, some come from other fields. I believe that having this variety is good — it helps to bring more diversity in opinions + people can contribute from different aspects.
I can speak for me personally — my background in simultaneous translation does not really help directly in doing my job as CMO, but it does help in stress-management and communication. Both are useful in crypto as well :)
Q4: Could you provide an overview of how StealthEX is being used? Also, what are the incentives StealthX provide to the users choosing your platform?
StealthEX is super-simple. You literally just go to our main page, choose the currencies you would like to exchange and the amount, enter the address and proceed with your deposit. Pretty much it, we do all the rest.
If by incentives you mean direct benefits, then users can choose our referral link to share with their friends and audience — this way they can accumulate crypto profits. If this is just a question on why people choose our platform, then the answer would be — because we’ve been working non-stop from 2018 to bring you a reliable, simple and trustworthy product.
Q5: How long did it take to develop this project? What plans do you have for the future? What can we expect from StealthEX — could you share your roadmap?
The MVP was built pretty rapidly, but the general development is always ongoing. We’re adding new features, re-designing something old, bringing novelties into the interface and so on.
Right now you can expect some cool changes in the personal cabinet, the ability to make flexible fees for API partners, a brand-new exchange widget to build into websites and many additions in the fiat purchasing option brought by a new partner. Lots of cool stuff on the way!

Q1: How many assets are listed on your platform and how fast it is to exchange and swap ? Is it possible to do without registration?
RIght now, we’re holding over 450 assets on the platform and we’re listing new coins and tokens almost every week. The exchange takes from 5 to 30 minutes, depending on the conditions of the network (can be overloaded and the swap will go slower)
And yes, all the swaps are registration-free, and they always will be!

Q3: What is StealthEX and what was the reason behind starting this project? How optimistic are you about the future use-case of StealthEX compared to when you started it?
Have answered the first question on the ideas during part 1 already, but the second question is very good.
I believe there will always be demand for custody-free services. First of all, right now there is a much bigger demand for services that do not hold the assets for you. Mostly this demand is due to nasty stuff that can happen to custodial services (saw some with exchanges and loan services lately)

Q4: How many team members do you have? Do they have enough experience in the blockchain field? Do they have any experience on working in crypto and non-crypto projects?
We have 30 team members right now, with various experiences. I believe that blockchain knowledge is not necessary in all the fields in the company, but all the key people in dev and management obviously have it :)
I have been working in crypto for 5 years now, for example.

Q7: I want to know if all swaps in your exchange are non-custodial?

Q8: One awesome feature that StealthEX has is that it allows us to buy cryptocurrency with fiat through VISA and MASTERCARD. Which listed currencies can we buy? Are there high fees when buying with fiat?

Good thing — you can start buying with small sums, especially good for those just starting. Also, you can buy without KYC for 900USD in total.
The fees are there, sure, but it is definitely not higher than other providers :)
Also we’re planning on expanding the list for both fiat currencies and cryptos as well.
Q9: How can we trust your project and believe that you aren’t a SCAM Project? Nowadays there are so many Rug-Pulls & Exit SCAMs happening.
For non-custodial exchanges, it does not make too much sense to rug-pull, as we do not hold the user’s funds on the platform at all. To be very clear, there is nothing to pull :)

Q11: Many projects have problems with UI / UX and this one turns off new users. How do you plan to improve the interaction with new users and with users outside the crypto space?
We take design and UX very seriously and are always improving the interface. I think it’s very important so that everyone can understand what they are doing when stumbling upon a service.
